Hey y'all! Thanks for checking out my online home! I'm Amy Rios, a former Michiganian who now proudly calls Austin, Texas home. I'm an adept and versatile multimedia communicator with over five years of experience in the healthcare industry.

I write about a lot of things, but I am mainly interested in healthcare marketing. Specifically, how healthcare communicators can leverage the stories of patients, providers, researchers and institutions to humanize healthcare.

I've been in the healthcare field since 2014, and have worked in a variety of settings including academic medicine, non-profit health advocacy, and healthcare revenue cycle management.

The commonality I found in each of these environments is the profound power of sharing stories to engage audiences and encourage action.

My mission is to find and tell more stories about the lives impacted by healthcare - its practitioners, patients, and students to highlight the human experience of delivering and receiving care.
